Gina is concerned how the church has lost sight of the true meaning as to why the church was created in the first place.

It’s true because when you walk into a sanctuary, you will see a picture of a Bishop or Pastor hanging on the wall.  A man!

People worship the man.  Everything is centered around the man.  Look in the sanctuary and see what you see.  Look at the events and see what you see.  It is all surrounded by the man, the Bishop.  Every flyer is about the man; and yet the tone of God and worship is in there, it’s most about the man!

When will the church stop worshiping man and get back to the business of what the church was created to do?

Why do we celebrate the birth of man, the anniversary or the man’s accomplishments?  Everyone in the church should be acknowledged for their birth, anniversary, dedication, and we shouldn’t just single one person out and then become worshipers of that man!

I think it’s good that we knowledge leadership roles.  Oh holler!  We just have a problem with their pictures being right there for people to worship or any image.  We have to be careful not to worship man as a deity!

This is where people get confused and the natural and spiritual sides are intertwined.

Psalms 51:2 – “Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.”
